About the Event

School holiday DigiTech fun

Immerse yourself in the new and emerging STEAM Technologies that will inspire creativity across the Digital Technologies curriculum for both kaiako and ākonga/ whānau.

What are the two weeks of DigiTech about?

These sessions offer exposure to and immersion with new emerging STEAM Technologies, to inspire learning that compliments the Digital Technologies curriculum content and expands or opens new future pathways that align with the High-Tech Supernode. Introduction to the concept of High-Tech MicroCredentials that are creating greater equity in future education.

Who are these sessions for?

Open to ākonga/ whānau and kaiako from across Canturbury.

Ākonga/ whānau will discover how STEAM Technology can be part of their everyday learning. They will see and experience how it can make areas like Numeracy, Literacy and Coding fun! And show them how it can lead to the jobs of the future!

Kaiako can see how STEAM Technology can be integrated into your everyday teaching or used effectively for specific subject areas.  Experience how it can make traditional subject areas more engaging and help your ākonga see how Digital Technologies could offer them a better future.

The STEAM Technologies to inspire learning takes place for two full weeks during the school holidays.

There are morning and afternoon sessions with a break over lunch. Registration is great if you can, but to ensure these sessions are as inclusive to as many as possible, people are welcome to pop in as it suits.

Sessions are supervised by trained facilitators, but unstructured to allow for interactive immersion at a level and pace that individuals are comfortable with.
