About the Event

E-Textiles is the weaving of fashion/design and technology to create projects that sparkle.

In this introduction hui you will learn beginner-level sewable circuits, starting with breaking down and testing components in a variety of circuits, then designing your own circuit and sewing it into a simple project to keep for future reference.

You will leave this project-based hui with,

  • An understanding and testing basic circuits with batteries, LED’s and buttons/switches.
  • An understanding of how to design your own working e-textiles circuit.
  • Your own project by making (sewing) your own circuit into a simple project to keep.

You will also receive written resources for the session.

Ticket Policy

We enjoy sharing the free mahi with everyone. However, we have recently been experiencing people booking in and not attending the hui. This causes us over cater our events and disrupt our hosts' planning. We have decided, that 24hrs notice must be given if you are unable to attend this hui or a fee of $10.00 is payable to GCSN to cover catering, and where applicable, venue costs.  Invoices will be delivered to the email in the booking form, and payment in full is the responsibility of the owner of the email address to pay within 2 weeks of delivery.
