Susan Tull's Educational Design Classroom in Moodle 1.9

Description

This is Susan Tull's classroom designed in Moodle 1.9 to help teachers appreciate what a classroom can be in a Learning Mangement System.

Susan says:

"Classrooms can be very individual places - some of us like our desks up the front; some of us like posters on the wall; some of us like our students' desks in groups.  What's really important about the classroom is that it's a place where all our students can learn. - An online classroom is no different in that respect.

So, this is my classroom, I like posters - but not too many. I like my desk up the front so I can see the faces of my students. I know it's important that each and every one of them feels that I am teaching them where they are at.

This classroom is still a work-in-progress so there are elements which have yet to be completed and some that are yet to be started. If there's something you really want to know about - just ask. That's what I'm here for. In this space and face-to-face I'll do my best to provide you with ideas on how to make the best use of the online teaching space Moodle provides, and support you in doing that.

You'll find all the content for this classroom located in the sections accessed through the menu on the left hand side of the page.

Enjoy!

Thanks Susan, I recommend this

I think you will find this very useful - I use an earlier version to support me and my students designing courses all the time!
